Performance
Under the hood of every new Highlander is a 2.4-liter turbocharged I4 engine that produces 265 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive. You can upgrade to available all-wheel drive if you want superior traction.
Design & Interior
The Highlander is a spacious three-row SUV, with up to eight seats and a passenger volume of 141.8 cubic feet. When you need to transport your belongings, you can find 16 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats, 48.4 cubic feet behind the second row of seats, and 84.3 cubic feet behind the front seats. Standard interior features include tri-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and folding 60/40-split second- and third-row seats.
Technology & Safety
The Highlander comes standard with an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen display and a seven-inch digital instrument panel. If you want a larger touchscreen, you can opt for an available 12.3-inch infotainment display. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard as well. Six speakers are standard, but you can upgrade to an available 11-speaker JBL premium audio system.
The standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite of safety features includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, and road sign detection.
