Brake Service
How to Tell If Your Brakes Need Service
There are a few key indicators that may point to your brakes needing service. Some of them are less urgent than others, but if you experience any, it's worth taking your vehicle to our service center as soon as possible.
Squealing or Scraping Sounds
This is one of the indicators that requires your immediate attention. At the bottom of most brakes, there are small metal hairs, specifically made to make noise. When you hear scraping or squealing, it means that your brakes are nearly out of gripping material. Be sure to have this issue addressed before the brakes are completely depleted.
Decreased Stopping Power
If it takes longer than usual to stop your vehicle, then there is likely an issue with your brakes. Less "bite" when braking may require a replacement or topping off your brake fluid.
Long Pedal Travel Distance
If you have to press your brake pedal further down than usual to stop your vehicle, there may be an issue with your brake pads.
When to Have Your Brakes Inspected
It's a good idea to your brakes inspected every 12,000 miles or once a year to stay on top of any developing issues and ensure that your brakes are performing at their best.
Whether it's time for an inspection or you've experienced some of the red flags listed, our service center is ready to help. Schedule an appointment for brake service today to receive a high degree of precision and care!
