Under the hood of the new Toyota Highlander Hybrid is a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine and several electric motors. The gas and electric powertrains combine to provide 243 horsepower. The latest Toyota Highlander Hybrid also offers drivers the choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Additionally, the hybrid engine pairs with a continuously variable transmission.
Standard Features
The Highlander Hybrid ensures ample seating capacity thanks to three rows, offering drivers room for up to seven. The interior of the Highlander Hybrid includes a blend of comfort and tech features. Standard tech features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, five USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, and a back-up camera. Also standard with the Highlander Hybrid is the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ driver assistance bundle, which includes radar cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-steering assist, and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection. The base trim level of the Toyota Highlander also includes tri-zone climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
